Dutch drilling contractor Klever worked narrow Amsterdam streets with the TONGHAND®, mounted on their excavator for total control from the cab. Drill superintendent Bart van der Perk handled drill rods solo - no chains, hoists or ground plow when pipes were turning. Each joint was tightened exactly to specification, allowing forward reaming without vacuum trucks: two days' profit and lower transportation costs.
Combined with DECKHAND®, it offered safe rig side handling, lifting and placing rods efficiently. Contractors achieve faster drilling, fewer emissions and no mess on site. In the U.S., it's standard. Now Dutch HDD teams are seeing why.
